Which is better: a sectional or buying all pieces separately?

I found a sectional that I like and I also found a sofa,loveseat,and Chair Set that I like. They’re both Dark Brown. The sectional is cheaper than buying the set. Plus, it’ll have the same amount of seating. I won’t need end tables for the sectional. I’ll only have to get a Coffee Table and put it in the middle. Money wise the sectional is better. What about quality and space wise?

What makes the difference is first preference but secondly you need to size them to your living room. When we moved to our home our living room was long and narrow where the old home was squareish so the long couch only made the room look even longer. I switched to a wide style chair and then a contrasting loveseat vs the long couch and then a slider rocker to accent the room. It makes the room look square now and so much more appealing plus all the pieces are sized for the room. That is what makes the difference. I’d start with drawing a scaled room… 1″ = 1′ and then take it to the furniture store with a tape measure and find the pieces that go best in that area by measuring them. On the scale be sure to inclue where walls, windows and doors are placed. Then you’ll know more where things will fit with the furniture you like and also what accent furniture will fit with them.
